Your team is planning an English camp for next summer, and your supporters are excited to send you volunteers to teach at the camp, but…these volunteers have never taught English in an overseas context. How will they know what to do?
Short-term teams can be a huge asset, but it can be difficult to coordinate between countries to make sure the team is prepared and fits with your overall vision. I will work with your team to determine the setting, goals, and curriculum design of the camp or event to create a cohesive structure that fits with your team’s long-term goals. Next, we will work together to provide training to the short-term team, including training sessions (in-person or virtually) to help them prepare not only for teaching, but also for working cross-culturally. I can also assist with curriculum development and planning for your event. After the trip, I will meet with you and the team again to debrief.
